About Me

I'm an artist who enjoys traveling around, playing Mahjong, and knitting. I practice Vipassana meditation devoutly,  am a longtime vegan activist, and my favorite book is The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath.

 

I got my Bachelors of Arts in Drama (Honors) and Comparative History of Ideas at the University of Washington. I worked heavily with the Undergraduate Theater Society, BA Council, and the Ethnic Cultural Center. For my thesis and capstone, I wrote, starred, and directed a one-person show based on how political satire affects its audience

 

After university, I did improv and sketch comedy at Highwire Comedy Company in Atlanta, Georgia with the teams Good Evening, Tonight, Moon Police!, and Honeymoon. I worked with many professional theatres such as Theatrical Outfit, 7 Stages Theatre, The Village, Dad's Garage, and The Woodruff Arts Center.

 

I then set out to backpack around Asia, until COVID-19 hit, leaving me in Taiwan. I took advantage of my time, making videos about vegan restaurants and doing stand up comedy.  I also studied Mandarin Chinese at Taiwan Chinese Academy and can read, write, and speak at an Intermediate B1 level.

I then began my Masters of Arts in Animal Studies at New York University, where I am working on my thesis surrounding vegan culture and vegan communities around the world. I also participated in the fight against LVMH continuing to sell dead non-human animals as clothing, where we protested for multiple weeks outside their shareholders meeting until they conceded. I also completed the Miracamp Editing Bootcamp in video editing. Throughout this time I have been freelance writing, video editing, and teaching English. ​

Now I tutor, coach, and video edit in between working on my own individual projects.
